Correlation of Post-Primary PCI Left Ventricular End-Diastolic Pressure and Myocardial Blush Grade with Improvement in Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction
corellation of Post-PCI LVEDP and MBG with LVEF
Abstract
Study Objectives: To evaluate the relation between post-primary percutaneous coronary intervention (P-PCI) left ventricular end diastolic pressure (LVEDP) and myocardial blush grade (MBG) with left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF).
Methodology: After ethical approval, this cross-sectional analytical study was conducted at Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology in six months, from 1st June 2025 to 30th November 2025. After taking informed consent, 110 STEMI patients who underwent P-PCI were included by convenience sampling. Patients were divided into two groups:. The P-PCI of the target vessel was performed by the Interventional Cardiologist. The pre & post LVEDP and pre and post LVEF were measured. After achieving TIMI grade 3 flow, the myocardial blush grade was assessed and noted on the angiogram.
